The Herbert Scoville Peace Fellowship is a prestigious program established in 1987 to recruit and train the next generation of policy and advocacy leaders in international peace and security.
It offers recent college and graduate school alumni the opportunity to engage in full-time, six-to-nine-month fellowships with nonprofit, public-interest organizations in Washington, DC, focusing on critical issues such as nuclear nonproliferation, climate and security, peacebuilding, emerging technology threats, and global health security.
Eligibility for the Herbert Scoville Peace Fellowship
Applicants must have received a bachelor’s or master’s degree by the time the fellowship commences. While U.S. citizenship is preferred, foreign nationals residing in the U.S. with a work visa valid for the fellowship duration may also apply. Candidates should demonstrate excellent academic achievements, a strong interest in peace and security issues, and preferably have experience in public-interest activism or advocacy.
